Practice
Startup and
Transition...Working
with the
doctor to
bring up a
new practice
or
transition
into an
existing
practice is
the
specialty of
Burdine
Associates.
From setting
up a
corporation,
to opening
the first
business
bank
account, to
all the
employee
issues,
there is a
myriad of
details that
have to be
covered
before
seeing the
first
patient.
The doctor
is shown how
to set up
QuickBooks
on his/her
computer so
they can
always have
control of
their bank
account and
what money
is received
and spent.
We are very
accessible
to both the
doctor and
the staff
during this
time.
This usually
covers a
period of
three
months.
Continuing
Practice
Stabilization...
The
remaining
phase of
building the
business
successfully
involves
monitoring
the practice
for the next
nine months.
During this
phase,
Burdine
Associates
will
carefully
monitor
production
and
collections
and work
with the
staff in
working the
accounts
receivable.
Some of the
other areas
that are
addressed
are
continuing
employee
concerns and
issues with
staffing,
watching the
overhead
percentage,
monitoring
proper OSHA
and HIPAA
compliance,
recall of
patients,
and any
other
concerns the
doctor has.
Procedures
are written
to help the
staff have
specific
guidelines
to follow.
Retainer
based
assistance /
services...
Burdine
Associates
will
continue to
monitor the
practice on
a retainer
basis
monthly to
see that the
practice is
performing
in a healthy
manner.
Accounts
receivable
is
continually
reviewed and
a report
given to the
doctor.
Any other
issues
appropriate
to practice
management
consulting
can be
addressed
during this
phase as
well.
